Overview

Simulations and analysis, over three years of field data for 8 solar PV pumping stations, were undertaken in this work to: (i) Use the unutilzed PV power for RO Water Desalination

Unutilized PV Power

Unutilized PV power can be classified into:  (i) PNMAX power (or ENMAX energy) which results from the maximum capacity limit of the pump and (ii) PLOSS power (or ELOSS energy) which occurs at times when the storage tank is full. PNMAX is a system design parameter and is not affected by oversizing or tank size.
